Meg found something pretty interesting on our walk today, which you may not want to look at if you are squeamish. I think it is the remains of a mourning dove, though I stand to be corrected. It looks a little angelic.

Hmmm, your image and the mention of angels made me think of Philip Pullman's Dark Materials trilogy...I really enjoyed the second book, The Subtle Knife, where there are a pair of angels who interact with the protagonist. It is really cool, and not quite what you might expect...though now that I think of it, Madeleine probably is very familiar with the books :D
